Who is Zeus? Surely many of you already know, or at least heard his name. And if you look closely, Zeus is always depicted or symbolized holding a thunderbolt and an eagle. Have you ever wondered who or what is that eagle? The eagle looks somehow important and people during ancient Greek called this eagle as Aquila, the representation of Zeus or a sign of his blessing to some of the selected people. Alright, now is the time to tell a little bit of a story.

Once upon a time, there was a king loved by his people in a place called Attica. He was a really wise king named Periphas who was also a loyal priest for Apollo. His wisdom made everyone loved and adored him until they made temples to worship this king. Their love and respect for this king even to the point of surpassing Zeus, king of the gods.

One day, Zeus heard about it and became so angry. He then wanted to strike Periphas with his thunderbolt and burn Periphas including the palace. But Apollo, his son came and persuaded him to forgive Periphas. It was because Periphas had always been a loyal follower of Apollo and made many sacrifices for Apollo. Zeus agreed. Zeus went to the palace of Periphas and turned him into an eagle. Then how about the queen? His wife, also being turned into a vulture after she begged Zeus to turn her into a bird too so that she can accompany her husband.

Zeus made Periphas as king of all the birds and placed him right next to his throne. This eagle is known as a loyal companion of Zeus and always been sent to carry out duties of anything that Zeus wished for. From fetching Ganymede, visiting his loyal followers as Zeus’ representation, and many other tasks. He is the Aetos Dios.

When we heard this story, we thought that the king actually didn’t make any mistake. He was just a king who did all his duties as a wise leader, and then his people loved him too much and worshipped him. But … ah nevermind. Maybe those gods have their own rules, regulations, and prides that shouldn’t be violated by humans.

As we informed you before in the previous article, Heracles & Aquila Series: The Demigod Hero From Greek Mythology, we will present to you our exclusive interview of the 3rdParallel team and the representatives from Heracles and Aquila constellations. Their names are still not being mentioned and will tell us later in the last session of this series.

Alright, let’s get into the interview.

Aquila       : What do you know about my constellation in mythology?

3rdP          : Eagle of Zeus

Aquila       : Yes, I was an obedient eagle at that time. Same with Hydra and Heracles, I also played a role in a story. And this is also part of our game. I was the eagle of Zeus. But to be honest, there are some things that I dislike about my role in that story. Because in that story, my role was being a really obedient pet of Zeus. And as you already knew, Zeus is not a good leader. In my opinion, he is not a god that is worth to be respected and has no quality to be the king of gods. When I played my role as Aquila, I didn’t fully enjoy my role. Unlike Heracles who gets into the role as a whole, I dislike my role. You know why? Because Zeus asked me to steal Aphrodite’s sandal.

Can you imagine? I’m telling you now, we don’t have a thief in our race! So, I did a thing because of that role, and clearly, it is out of our race’s characteristics. Yeah, I know it is also the same with Quaydra who got the evil role. Even though stealing is not our habit, I still did it well. I stole her sandal and gave it to Hermes.

Hermes used this opportunity and said if she wants her sandal back, then she should sleep with him. Isn’t that inappropriate? But that’s what happened. There are other things which are actually against it, do you know which? When Zeus sent me to Dardania. Why did he send me? To fetch a boy, so Zeus made him his lover. Can you imagine?

Back to the story, whatever I did, Hera did, Quaydra did, everything was just a game and we played it well. As I helped Aphrodite as well in that time. I was the eagle, the Aquila, Zeus’ confidant and he sent me only to people he wished, for example, people who were loyal to him. This means if I come to them, it’s the sign of blessing from Zeus. The most important is, they pray to Zeus. Heracles prayed so that his friend, Telamon, would become the father of a great hero. Zeus then answered his prayer by sending me. I flew between Heracles and Telamon as a sign.

Telamon then became the father of a great hero named Ajax. Do you know why he called Ajax? Ajax is originally from aétos, the Greek word for eagle. And also Agamemnon won over Troy (see Toran war) was not because of nothing. He prayed to Zeus so that he could win the war. Zeus shouldn’t have complied with it.  He should have thought about which one is good or bad. But during that time, Troy was so cruel and tyrannical, so he sent me as a sign of his blessing. When anyone prayed and begged for something to Zeus and he agreed, he would send me. And my presence means their prayers have been answered by Zeus. I was called Aquila and was given a place in the sky. Any questions?

3rdP          : But we have read in another story, it says that Aquila was originally a king named Periphas. Is that true that before you became Aquila, you were a king who was worshipped like a god, that’s why Zeus turned you into a bird?

Aquila       : Right, it was part of Zeus’ wish and also his egoism, his pride and actually I didn’t want to tell you this. I didn’t really enjoy my role as Aquila, unlike Heracles who did his role wholeheartedly. 

3rdP          : So, the story is true that you were a king turned into a bird in that story?

Aquila       : Kind of.

3rdP          : Your role, we meant. 

Aquila       : Yes, but not everything is true because we made an agreement. My race is the eagle, including condors, vulture, etc. And in the beginning, I requested one condition that I refuse to play a role as a human. It was also the same when I played a role with Quaydra in Aztec civilization as Quetzalcoatl. I only agreed to play the role of an eagle or bird. We agreed. But Zeus disagreed. He wanted me to play the role of a great human. He made his own story, but the most important thing is, I didn’t leave my figure as a bird. Confusing, isn’t it?

3rdP          : Yes, it’s so confusing for humans.

Aquila       : Very funny, right? Exciting, amusing, and yeah that’s the truth of this game. But Hindu Gods mix this game with their ego and feelings. Even though most of us are the same. I meant we are the same. 

3rdP          : Does it mean when you play the role as Quetzalcoatl with Quaydra, there is also your awareness too? What about Quaydra’s awareness? (read: Hydra the Water Serpent: And the Aztec God, Quetzalcoatl)

Aquila       : Of course between me and Quaydra. Because in the Greek story, we were enemies and we agreed to make a game where we united into a figure of a great god. 

3rdP          : I see.

Aquila       : Yeah we were still in our awareness and we became a kind god that’s really the opposite of Greek mythology. In Aztec, we really liked our roles. I tell you again, I didn’t enjoy my role when I was in Greek story. 

Heracles muttered while looking down to tease Aquila.

Heracles  : In the Aztec story, I didn’t get the role. I was there but not as a great figure like you two (Aquila and Quaydra). I only had a small role.

3rdP          : Were you also in the Aztec mythology? (we asked Heracles)

Heracles  : Yes, but only as a tiny role. 

3rdP          : What was your name?

Heracles  : Nevermind, you don’t need to know. You know how Aztecs, Maya, and Inca really loved animals. The opposite of Greek people. Greek people adore human form, beauty, magnificence … while Aztec, Maya, and Inca are different. They thought animal form is the most beautiful and honorable form. And I was a fish … ah, nevermind it’s better if you don’t find out.

Aquila      : Don’t belittle yourself, piranha is good.

3rdP          : Piranha?

Heracles  : Maybe I will tell you a little bit, but not now. Now is the time for Aquila to speak. 

Aquila       : It’s just your excuse because you don’t want to tell them (Aquila teased Heracles back). Oh, by the way, do all of you know about our biggest star? It’s actually from a language you call Arabic.

3rdP          : Yes, Altair.

Aquila       : And the meaning of it is the bird or an eagle itself.

3rdP          : Is the Arabic language also from you?

Aquila       : Actually, all the languages on Earth are not yours, to begin with. Every language on your Earth has been used by us. And every language has a different energy.

3rdP          : But we feel, only ancient languages contain some kind of  energy. Not modern languages which were created by modern humans.

Aquila       : Correct. Later on, we will talk about language in our civilization session including how my race also connected with Hindu gods.

3rdP          : We heard about that.

Aquila       : Don’t think that I have no influence on Hindu gods or their followers. You know, I am considered as the skyline footprint of Vishnu. God Vishnu that you worship, but he is actually part of us too. Are you still thinking that Shiva, Brahm, Vishnu are no part of us? They are actually the same as the Greek gods. 

3rdP          : Part of you, or created by all of you?

Aquila       : Created by us, yes. You are pretty smart, huh? Is there anything you want to ask me about this Greek story? Because my story is not as much as Heracles. 

3rdP          : Yes. Why do you guys love to play with this Earth? 

Aquila       : Because your Earth is a fun place. We make this Earth our experiment field. The experiment in the broadest meaning of the word, emotional experiment, intellectual experiment, technology, weapons, and materials (money). And the most important is, we can easily control and take everything we gave to you.

3rdP          : But in your own place, how do you exchange things?

Aquila       : By bartering. Maybe you know barter. It happens by bartering with a certain exchange value. And it doesn’t exist on your Earth. The thing is very valuable to us.

3rdP          : What is that?

Aquila       : And this is also wanted by every race.

3rdP          : Are they asking for a time extension?

Aquila       : ‘Time’ is one of them. I will tell you in the last session.

3rdP          : Alright.

Aquila       : And actually, your Earth has it. 

3rdP          : Is it fuel?

Aquila       : Yes.

3rdP          : But why is ‘time’ also part of the barter?

Aquila       : No, actually ‘time’ is intended for sale. For real exchange, we use fuel. 

3rdP          : Do you mean using fuel as the currency just like we use money?

Aquila       : Yes.

3rdP          : Exchange with other fuel?

Aquila       : Later in the civilization session, I will explain it to you and it also applies in the whole universe, not only in our constellations. All beings and races in this universe do barter like this, using that thing.

3rdP          : What is that and is the thing still invisible to humans?

Aquila       : There is something that you can do to materialize this thing. But for us, invisible or materialized, are just the same. 

3rdP          : But why don’t you just take it? Is there any rule that prevents you from taking it from our Earth?

Aquila       : I will explain it in our civilization session.

3rdP          : Is there any other planet where you also play roles like on Earth?

Aquila       : Yes, there is one planet similar to your Earth. Venus is also our playground, as well as Brrom, Gruk and Grul.

3rdP          :  But isn’t Venus too hot?

Aquila       : And a civilization also exists there. You just don’t know yet and you need to get to know it. Learn about Venus because that planet is pretty similar with this Earth although not completely. Grul, Gruk, and Brrom are really similar to Earth, their race are the same race as humans on Earth. Their hands, legs, hair, and nose are also the same like you all.

3rdP          : Where Gruk, Grul and Brrom located? Or, which galaxy?

Heracles  : Gruk is located in 10⁰ between Heracles and Ophiucus. Grul located between Libra and Serpens Caput, while Brrom located in the lower end of Lacerta. I will help you to connect with them if you want to ask them questions.

3rdP          : Sure, thank you. And we want to ask Aquila. Do you have any relation with the Assyrian God named Nisroch? Because he is also depicted as an eagle-headed deity.

Aquila       : What do you know about his story?

3rdP          : We only know his name. And there is also a Chinese God called Lei Gong, the God of Thunder. He is depicted as half man and half eagle. Do you know him too?

Aquila       : Yes. And not only in China. Japan and Korea too. We are closely related to the Indian especially during the ancient Hindu too. Our race sent our representative called Altair. Altair is called Hikoboshi, while Vega, his lover, is called Orihime in Japan. I know there is a festival to celebrate it. Tanabata festival, celebrated since a long time ago. Modern humans nowadays mostly don’t understand the true meaning of this festival and mostly joined the festival because they follow other people. You can search it using Google with your devices. 

3rdP          : Oh we have read about the Tanabata festival. 

Aquila       : And when the rain falls, they said it was because of Orihime’s tears. It made Altair or Hikoboshi couldn’t cross the dangerous stream of that river. If you want to see Altair, there are times where you can see it. There will be a formation of three stars. They are beautiful. They are Altair, Vega, and Deneb. 3rdP          : Can we conclude that each and every god depicted as an eagle is from Aquila constellation or your place? Because we have read many mythology and there are a lot of gods depicted as an eagle. Are they the representatives of Aquila?

Aquila       : Correct. And if it is related to the snakes, reptiles or some of their kind, it must be the Serpent, the Drago (Hydra), or races related to them.

3rdP          : Understood.

Aquila       : Have you talked with Ophiucus?

3rdP          : Not yet.

Aquila       : Not yet? You should. Their story is interesting too. And they contributed a lot, even though at the end, their name was erased as if they had disappeared. 

3rdP          : The 13th zodiac should be Ophiucus, right?

Aquila       : Yes. And actually, there were some races included in this Heracles cluster. After we finish our session, we will help you to get connected with others. Do you still want to continue the Heracles cluster?

3rdP          : You meant after we finished this series?

Aquila       : Yes after this series. After you are done with Hydra, Aquila and Heracles, you need to decide where, which and who. Whether you want to continue with Heracles and Hydra, or start with new races who are not related to us. You may decide. But we will help you, just how Quaydra helped you to connect with us.

3rdP          : Actually, we were thinking of finding out the information about Gunung Padang located in our country.

Aquila       : I’ve heard about it.

3rdP          : Is it true that it is somehow related to the Incan?

Aquila       : You may talk again with Quaydra, also Serpent and some of the reptilians. You can contact Canis Major too.

3rdP          : Wow! Many races were involved?

Aquila       : Because these Mayan, Incan, and Aztec gods were no other than them and my race. Tell this to Heracles, I’m so sorry that you were not much involved in this (he talked to Heracles beside him). Find Pisces and talk to them because fish was also a great god for the Incan. 

3rdP          : Okay, and in the future we want to know which constellation or race will be more open or in contact with us. Is there any?

Aquila       : We are members of a league, during our meeting, I will bring this up to other members. I will deliver your question and your wish to be discussed in our meetings. We always gather in Libra’s place.

3rdP          : Is this league led by Libra?

Aquila       : Yes. And I will deliver your wishes to them. I am one of the highest council members in this league. I am the advisor and vice of Libra. Heracles and I will go back to our place for now, we will come back later for the next session, science, and our civilizations.

3rdP          : What’s the difference between civilization and mythology?

Aquila       : Civilization is different from mythology. In civilization, we will tell you how we live, how the real appearances of our race, our names, our conditions, etc.

3rdP          : We thought you were going to tell us how you lived on this Earth.

Aquila       : Of course not. Just how you talk with Quaydra. Quaydra and their civilization, how they reproduce. And I will tell you my name, my title in the civilization part. Heracles too. 

3rdP          : That’s the most interesting part!
